“Feline Trouble: International Auto Mystery”

About a decade ago, the American government realized that they were at risk of being surpassed by other countries in the automotive sector if they didn’t collaborate. They decided to form a council to conduct research. The group visited a Japanese car factory and noticed something peculiar – there were numerous cats wandering around the factory. One of the American group members inquired about the cats to the general manager of the factory. He explained, “We place a cat inside each completed product at night. If the cat is still alive the next morning, it indicates an issue with the isolation of that unit, so we disassemble it and make necessary repairs.” The Americans were amazed by this practice.

Later, the group visited a factory in Turkey, specifically the TOFAS factory, for further research. Once again, they observed cats roaming around the factory premises and asked the general manager about them. His response was similar to the Japanese factory manager’s explanation: “We place a cat in each completed unit at night. If the cat is missing in the morning, it indicates a problem with the isolation of that unit.”
